WEIGHT
Determining the ideal weight of a racket is highly subjective, and it's crucial to experiment with various weights to discover the one that suits your game the best. However, as a general guideline, stronger players often derive more benefits from using heavier rackets. For reference, most men opt for rackets weighing approximately 370-375 grams, while women typically prefer rackets weighing around 360 grams. Junior rackets, on the other hand, usually fall within the range of 240 to 280 grams.
THICKNESS
Padel rackets come in a range of thicknesses, typically ranging from 35mm to 38mm. The maximum allowable thickness according to the current rules is 38mm. Junior players typically use the thinnest rackets, measuring 35mm, while beginners are often recommended to start with 36mm thickness. This choice aids in manoeuvrability and allows for technique refinement. As your skills progress and your game improves, transitioning to a thicker racket can help generate more power in your shots.
